Box Office Information 15th-17th June 2007
It's like, totally rad dude, as the coolest surfer in town hit our screens on the weekend, riding the crest of a wave to take the top spot. Taking £4.1m on its opening weekend, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (20th Century Fox) beat its predecessor's opening weekend in 2005 (Fantastic Four took £3.5m when it opened). Carrying on from where the prequel left us, the Fantastic Four think life is back to normal after the death of Dr Doom, but on the day of Reed Richards a.k.a Mr Fantastic (Ioan Gruffudd ) and Sue Storm a.k.a The Invisible Woman's (Jessica Alba) wedding, they have uninvited guests in the shape of the Silver Surfer and Galactus - both hell-bent of destroying earth. They also discover that their previous arch nemesis Dr Doom (Julian McMahon) is still very much alive, leading us to ask will Mr Fantastic and The Invisible Woman ever get married? Will the Silver Surfer fall off his silver surfboard? And will Ben Grimm a.k.a The Thing ever find clothes to fit him?
All the latest trailers can be viewed in the posts below.

The holiday season is upon us and if there is ever a warning for not staying at anything less than a 3* hotel, then Vacancy (Sony) is it! Opening in 4th place and taking £566k, Vacancy follows Amy and David Fox (Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson) who pull into a motel after their car breaks down. Lesson #1 - don't trust a mechanic in a dodgy roadside garage. It is only after viewing a videocassette found in the room however that they soon realise their room is the set for snuff films and they are soon to be the next victims. Lesson #2 - don't trust anyone wearing an off-white vest who 'upgrades' you to the honeymoon suite for free. The rest of the film sees Amy and David forgetting their marital difficulties in order to escape their impending doom. Room service anyone??

On the road to proving his innocence however, he discovers that she may in fact be alive..............
